Klaas van Egmond is Professor of Geosciences (in particular Environmental Sciences and Sustainability) at Utrecht University. He is also associated with the Utrecht Sustainability Institute. He is also an advisor to Triodos Bank.
Together with colleague Herman Wijffels he is the initiator of the Sustainable Finance Lab and from 2012 to 2016 he was crown member of the Social and Economic Council (SER). In addition, he holds various management positions, including Chairman of the KNMI Advisory Council and member of the Board of the NatureCollege.
